Help! I Need To Brighten My Bikini Area

Esthetics by P Brown can help clean up all of your bikini area concerns.

This question was a DM in my social media, I’m sharing it so all my (lady) clients know, yes, we can help brighten your bikini area.

QUESTION:

Porsche, I need to get rid of this hyperpigmentation around my bikini area, I’m headed to Jamaica to renew my wedding vows in June, what can I do?

ANSWER:

Believe me, I understand your dilemma, we definitely can help you and we can do it soon so you can check that off your list.  Vaginal hyperpigmentation is common and it can develop from a lot of reasons including hormonal changes.

You can get a body peel where we’ll lay low-grade acids, like a pumpkin enzyme acid, or I’ve done a hibiscus acid or an apple wine acid, something that is gentle enough to peel your intimate area but strong enough to lift up the hyperpigmentation.

No Intimate Relations For 3 Days

If we do a vaginal peel, you will want to wait until three days after the peel to have relations as my grandmother would say.  The reasoning is because you’ll be shedding and there’ll be nothing sexy about it.  Now, once you’ve passed the 72-hour mark, your bikini area will look so good you’ll be wanting to show it off (not suggesting it, just saying).

Pumpkin Is Perfect for the Bikini Area

Pumpkin is the perfect enzyme to use on the bikini area, because it contains Glyolic Acid.  Glycolic Acid is a water-soluble alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), it has the smallest molecules and is why it’s able to easily penetrate the skin.  Glycolic Acid comes from a natural derivative such as Aloe or Pumpkin.  The pumpkin is also loaded with vitamins and antioxidants, it naturally exfoliates dead skin cells.  Pumpkin will give you a flawless glow, even skin, and reduce ingrown hairs.

Body Treatments for Body Blemishes

As you probably know, Esthetic’s by P Brown, is a Full-service Day Spa with a menu of services for your entire body.  Some expect Day Spas to be limited to facials, massages, manicures and pedicures and while we also offer those services, if you pull up our menu, you’ll see much, much, more.

This may not apply to you personally, but some people have blemishes on their backsides and for them, we offer body treatments: back facials, butt facials, and body peels. Now before you raise your brow and think it’s weird, some people actually have acne on the back side of their bodies. Back acne can surface for various reasons with sweat or diet among the list.

Esthetic’s by P Brown’s Body Treatments

BACK FACIAL

A relaxing treatment for both men and women that helps remove acne, pimples, zits, inflammation, dry scaly patches, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, erythema or red splotches.

BUTT FACIAL

A relaxing treatment and good cleanse to hit those hard to reach spots and help remove acne, pimples, zits, inflammation, dry scaly patches, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, erythema or red splotches. Some get a butt facial for uneven skin tone (hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation – the lack of pigment). To some, it’s considered a luxury service, but at EBPB, it’s more common than you would think.

Back and Butt Facial Procedures

For both the Back and Butt Facials, we follow the same facial procedures. The steps are below:

  1. A light cleanse to break down the oil barriers then a heavier cleanse with a body brush
  2. Exfoliation with a sugar scrub
  3. Extractions (as needed)
  4. Clay mask to remove toxins and impurities
  5. Hydration treatment that rehydrates the skin, resets the pH levels, and seals the skin.  (The sealant atop of the skin creates a barrier that keeps bacteria, dies, and other toxins that would easily penetrate the skin).  A sealant and a moisturizer is applied at that time.

BODY PEEL

This is a treatment for people who have scarring, acne, and hyperpigmentation.  It’s similar to a chemical peel (in the case that) we go in and cleanse the area, then use a prep for the acids so your body will absorb them quickly.  Then we lay acids so it peels or lifts up that hyperpigmented area or starts to peel away and break down scar tissue.

Body Treatments and Cellulite Reduction

We have some people who schedule Back and Butt facials to reduce cellulite.  It’s because the treatments come with a massage component (with the brush) and heat therapy that comes with the mask, the combination of the two, helps reduce cellulite.

So the next time you see a blemish on the backside of your body, or you notice you’ve got bacne (back acne) we want you to know that we’re here for you.  We’ll help you select the service that meets your needs.

I hope this was helpful.  For more information about our services or if you would like to schedule an appointment, please feel free to schedule with us on our website: www.estheticsbypbrown.com.  If you have any questions about skincare, please feel free to call us at (615) 884 – 6744 or email us at estheticsbypbrown@yahoo.com.

Chemical Peel for Vaginal Hyperpigmentation

Hey Tribe, this question was sent through my social media, I’m sharing in case anyone else has this question.

QUESTION:

What can I do that is not as painful as laser treatments to remove hyperpigmentation from under my arms and my bikini area?  Is there a treatment that’s not high in cost and will it also treat ingrown hairs?

ANSWER: YES

Most estheticians will do a variation of what we call our body peel.  This actually is something that I do (about) quarterly – because I have eczema on my body and I don’t want to look like a reptile.

IT’S A BODY PEEL

So, yes, we do a body peel where we lay low-grade acids, like a Pumpkin Enzyme Acid, or I’ve done a Hibiscus Acid or an Apple Wine acid, something that is gentle enough to peel your intimate area but strong enough to lift up the hyperpigmentation.  We love anything that contains thorazine prohibitors, which will help prevent you from having hyperpigmentation during the healing process.

72-HOUR WAIT

I will say, this as a disclaimer.  If you want to have relations as my grandmother would say, it is not the time within 3 days after this peel.  You don’t want to, because you are shedding, there’s nothing sexy about it.  Now, once you pass the 72-hour mark, your bikini area will look like it was poured from Jesus (so to say – smile).  Also, if you suffer from ingrown hairs, we’ve thinned out that excess ingrown hair that is kind of holding that ingrown hair in or that Folliculitis in and it’s going to slide out like pure butter.  And it’s going to even out your skin tone, those same problems happen up under your arm that will happen in the bikini area, so it’s not just let’s hold here.

PUMPKIN BENEFITS

To be clear, Glycolic Acid in my opinion is a sand blaster.  My exception to that rule, is if your Glycolic Acid comes from a natural derivative such as aloe or pumpkin.  While we love pumpkin lattes, pumpkin is the perfect enzyme to use on the bikini area, it will give you a flawless glow, even skin, reduce ingrown hairs and all jokes aside, tribe, it’s amazing!
